Gothic is busy. There is no other way to put it. Students and scientists are madly running around to get their research done. It’s July and while we still have a lot of summer in front of us, the opportunities for research and education are going to disappear quickly .There are several large and loud machines pounding dirt right outside my back office door, part of the work on the Research Center. Richards Cabin is propped up in the air as they get ready to put a real foundation under it— part of the historic renovation. We set a record for the number of fourth of July runners— 550+. Numerous alumni and supporters joined us for the fourth of July barbecue. It’s a bit crazy how much happens in a short window of time; but that is how summers have always been.
