For the Questions Still Ahead

As the planet changes faster than any single field season can capture, RMBL's decades of long-term data are what let scientists tell a strange year apart from a lasting shift, and ask, with real evidence, what today's changes mean for tomorrow. As a RMBL Explorer, your annual gift helps us to sustain this Place and advance the critical research and discovery that happen here.

RMBL’s work is made possible by generous donors at every level, from a one-time gift, to a monthly payroll contribution, to a pledge to a scholarship fund, to a decades-long annual commitment, to a lump sum designated for critical projects and programs: all of these allow RMBL to continue to support the critical infrastructure, resources, and long-term data sets that make our science, education, and community programs possible. As a RMBL Explorer, giving $5,000 or more each year, you help sustain this place and the research and understanding that happen here, with special access to the people and places your generosity supports.

What Explorers Experience

Every Explorer tier includes access to a season of exclusive programs designed to bring Explorers closer to RMBL’s science, scientists, and place. A typical summer includes:

Explorers socializing on a porch at a Sips & Science gathering

Sips & Science

Small, informal gatherings with RMBL scientists, hosted in private homes around the valley. Hear about current research directly from the people conducting it, and get to know other curious Explorers along the way.

Explorer Hikes

Small-group field outings led by RMBL scientists into the rare landscapes they study, from alpine basins to protected research preserves not otherwise open to the public.
